Apple iPhone brought a revolution in mobile phone industry that no one can deny. It is because of them that major Phone manufacturers are following the Touch Screen trend.
Now it has been nearly confirmed that Apple is working on a Tablet computer that would be launched in first quarter of 2010. This Tablet is said to bring a new revolution in Tablet PC industry, forcing other manufacturers to rethink their designs and strategies. Read more …
The Design shown above is an artists conception of the Apples upcoming Tablet. The Tablet is said to resemble iPhone in a way, as the sources at apple insider confirm. The Tablet is said to be somewhere between an iPhone and a Mac book. The price in our guess would be $900-1200 at the time of launch.
Apple was working for four years on its Tablet. Steve Jobs wanted a perfect and sensual Tablet which would reform the portable industry. So many concept designs were thought but some of them had problems. And whenever a design had even a minor flaw, Steve reset the whole design and the designers were back again on the drawing table. The project is said to have been started from scratch 6 times. Steve is said to have supervised the project from his home, office and hospital( where he remained for past months for treatment).
At last the design was finalized by Steve and the work started properly. Now some of the sources inside Apple say that the Tablet would be available to the consumers in the first quarter of year 2010.
Apple is very late in entering the Tablet business as all the other major computer manufacturers like Dell, HP, IBM etc. had launched their Tablet PCs long ago.
But do you remember that Apple was also very late in entering the Cell phone industry and still its iPhone did wonders and became the most selling phone? We hope that Apple’s Table also enjoys success.
Now the processor powering the Apples Tablet was initially believed to be Intel Atom. But recent collaboration of Apple and ARM has given a hint that the Tablet may be powered by ARM processor.
Intel Atom is a processor which is used widely by major pc manufacturers, and has become a base of the “Net Book” business. The entire ASUS Eee PC line uses this processor. Intel Atom is more powerful than an ARM processor but the ARM has an advantage of being more energy efficient and provids more battery life.
We really hope to get hands on an Apples Tablet soon.
